"To be involved in the creation of wine, which is the perfect product of the surrounding nature, is not only a matter of existence for us, but also a joy of work done, a kind of art and a justified pride and pride." The founding of Vinselekt Michlovský a.s. in 1993 was preceded by more than thirty years of the journey of wine guru Doc. Ing. Miloš Michlovský, DrSc. through the professional wine world. Since the beginning of its existence, Vinselekt Michlovský has been collecting top awards in many categories of wine competitions at home and abroad and in spring 2010 it won the first ever Winery of the Year 2009 award. The winery manages about 125 ha of its own vineyards in the Velkopavlovice and Mikulov sub-region. Part of the grapes are purchased from long-established suppliers from the Slovenská and Znojmo sub-regions. In the cellar you can therefore find wines from all four wine sub-regions, which is interesting for comparing varieties from different locations of Moravian vineyards. The annual production of about 1.3 million bottles is categorised into several series, which differ both in the origin of the grapes and in the technological processing. New grape varieties, bred under the guidance of Doc. Ing. Miloš Michlovský, DrSc., are mainly used for organic production of wines and musts. "It is very important to give the wine as much freedom as possible, to interfere with it as little as possible and to leave it as much room as possible to express the given terroir, and all this with as little sulphur dioxide as possible." Innovation and creativity are also a very important aspect at Vinselektu Michlovský a.s., as demonstrated by the new range of low-alcohol and non-alcoholic fine sparkling wines (white, rosé, red), the production of which uses the latest technology to fully preserve aromatic and bouquet substances.
