The family winery, based on a long tradition of winemaking, developed into its current form after the Velvet Revolution. The significant growth and improvement was preceded by the gradual planting of new modern vineyards situated in excellent locations in the micro-region around the town of Dubňany. Family vineyards older than 15 years are planted with classic varieties, while the new vineyards situated in microclimatically excellent locations are aimed at producing top quality, ecologically friendly wines. The agrotechnics and year-round treatment of the vineyards are subordinated to achieving high quality grapes as a basic prerequisite for the production of quality predicate wines. However, we produce these grapes in an environmentally friendly way, with an emphasis on minimising or eliminating the use of synthetic fertilisers and pesticides, i.e. respecting the vineyard biocenosis and making maximum use of biological protection. The natural balance achieved is then reflected in a healthy and pure final product, together with the quality of the wine's oenology. Careful control of all inputs to production, a demanding production process with an emphasis on the natural characteristics of the final wine combined with controlled fermentation ensures fresh reductive wines with a pleasant varietally characteristic fruity bouquet. After several years of aging, we offer these wines to our friends, acquaintances and admirers of good Moravian wine.
