Pearl of wines

The winery Perla vín Marie and Jan Rozkov was founded in 2007 as a result of family traditions and experience. The company is widely spread between Znojmo, Velkopavlovice and Mikulov sub-region. Jan Rozek was born in Velke Nemcice in Velkopavlovice, started winemaking there, has a small hectare vineyard there and plans to move the operation there sometime in the distant future. In Jezeřany-Maršovice in the Znojmo region, where Marie Rozek comes from, the company has complete facilities from primary processing to wine archiving. And from the Mikulov region comes part of the top-quality grapes in the bio-quality varieties Pinot Gris, André and Cabernet Moravia (Mikulov, Pavlov) and also Tramín, Pálava and Sauvignon (Sedlec). The winery buys most of its grapes from contract winegrowers, with whom it cooperates throughout the growing season and who are able to adapt the harvest to the exact requirements. The white wines are produced using cryomaceration, without milling the grapes, controlled fermentation and fermentation with a small amount of pure yeast cultures. Part of the vapour is left on healthy yeast lees for many months. The blue varieties are processed in closed heated tanks under a nitrogen atmosphere. Bottled production is dominated by wines with quality whole-cork corks prepared for longer archiving, while from 2016 young, fresh wines of early varieties will be adjusted under screw cap. The winery produces bourbon in season, with most of the production distributed in barrel. Wine oil, wine jelly and sparkling wine will also be launched in 2017. The Perla vín winery cooperates with smaller winegrowers in the Jezeřany-Maršovice area and offers them the use of all technologies to promote the peripheral region as a place worth discovering and visiting for wine lovers and tourists.
