About the winery

The winery focuses mainly on the production of quality grapes for contractual customers (mainly for Templar Cellars Čejkovice), only a tenth of the harvest is processed into its own wines using modern technologies. Selected lots are aged in barriques. The annual volume is around 15,000 litres, with prices ranging from CZK 80 to 150 per bottle when sold from the cellar. Guided tastings can be arranged for groups of up to fifteen visitors. One of the most successful wines of this winery has long been the Cuvée MonteBoo (Zweigeltrebe, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot), which in the 2006 vintage, for example, was included in the National Wine Salon together with Zeigeltrebe.

From Bořetice direction to Němčičky (about 100 m from the crossroads) on the right side.

The ancient family roots of the Moravian branch of the Pazderks lie in Central Bohemia, the ancestors of the Bořetice winemaker Stanislav Pazderka came to South Moravia after the Thirty Years' War. In Čejkovice, which became their new home in 1665, they restored the devastated vineyards on Stará hora and winemaking became the family's livelihood. The Pazderks continued to grow grapes and make wine in the following generations, from the 19th century onwards in nearby Bořetice. The centuries-old history of winemaking by the Pazderks was not interrupted by collectivisation and the introduction of large-scale wine production. At that time they farmed ten acres of vineyards and produced wine for their own use. Stanislav Pazderka continued the family's winemaking tradition - in 2002 he founded a professional wine company. He gradually planted eighteen hectares of vineyards in the Trkmanska, Čtvrtě and Kraví hora vineyards. On the loess clays, blue varieties in particular thrive - in addition to traditional ones such as Modrý Portugal, Frankovka and Svatovavřinecké, he also grows Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Stanislav Pazderka's cellar is located in the back of the family house. From the 2009 vintage we recommend Riesling and Pinot Gris, both of which are late harvest quality wines.
