Luboš Strapina Winery - Pavlov

The beginning of the birth of our family winery Strapina dates back to 1945 when our great-grandfather František Strapina started small winemaking. Our winery is located in the heart of the Pálava Hills, right in the picturesque village of Pavlov. The history begins to be written already during the settlement of the border area, when our great-grandfather František Strapina moved here, and he and his son, also František, started to create vine wines not only for themselves, but also for their family friends and relatives. His son, i.e. his grandfather František the younger, remains a winemaker at heart and to this day he and his wife are the main vineyard owners who with great diligence, care and love take care of the growth and development of all the family vineyards located in the vicinity of Pavlov, Perná and Klentnice. However, there would be no family winery if the son of grandfather František, Luboš Strapina Sr., who has devoted a large part of his life to winemaking, had not continued. In his spare time, he not only develops the idea and direction of the family winery, but is also an integral and indispensable part of the creation of wines, as well as the processing of grapes. And as it is a good habit, another member of this generation, his son Luboš Strapina Jr., who as a young boy used to hang out under his grandfather's feet in his wine cellar, has also developed a love for wine. It is thanks to Luboš the Younger that this family jewel has been lifted up and that these generations of experience have been combined with modern technology in the creation of wine. Nowadays, he and his girlfriend are beginning to write a new stage for the family winery Strapina, which can not do without the help and support of the family, which is involved in the development of the entire winery. The quality and distinctive taste of our wines is very important for our small winery, which is lovingly cared for by Luboš Strapina Jr. He strives to constantly improve his wine making and to achieve the highest quality with the most distinctive variety and taste of Moravian wines. He works with modern and gentle technologies in the creation of wines. It emphasizes careful processing of grapes, gentle pumping of musts and wines, sensitive fermentation of young wines and ensuring appropriate conditions for the development, maturation and harmonization of wines. The proof of this meticulous work is the awards we receive at exhibitions and the interest and satisfaction of our customers, thanks to which we increase our production by a quarter every year.
