About the winery

Philosophy: quality and harmony. Motto: Traditional wines with roots. Since 1880, the 5th generation has been using the unique technology of its ancestors, without artificial yeasts, with its own varietal starters and minimizing chemistry. We produce natural varietal and appellation wines and other grape products. By aging in barrel and bottle, we produce wines that are harmonious with finer aromas, flavors and a pleasant ripeness. We are traditionalists. Hiking tailor-made, sale of wines, other products of the vine and seating 2 - 3 parking for caravans or trailers

The Samson family from Velke Nemcice has been winemaking without interruption for the fifth generation - the tradition was established around 1880. Today Jaroslav Samson runs a small family winery with the help of his son Pavel. The Samsons process grapes from 0.4 hectares of their own average twenty to thirty-five year old, south-west facing vineyards in the Punty line on loess soils. They buy additional raw materials for the production of a total of approximately 12 000 litres of wine per year from contractors. The winery uses two cellars for grape processing, training and wine storage. One of them was built in 2003 and the Samsons are gradually equipping it with new technology. For example, over the past year the winery has acquired a mobile air conditioning unit for controlled fermentation and increased production capacity with new stainless steel vessels. The Samsons use a combination of traditional and modern vinification techniques in the cellar, with no artificial yeasts and minimal chemistry. They also focus on archiving suitable wines. From the 2010 vintage, wine lovers should not miss out on the Müller-Thurgau, Veltliner Green and Zweigeltrebe rosé (all late harvests). The wine court includes a representative seating area. The philosophy of the winery is "Quality and harmony" and the motto is "Wines of traditional varieties". The wine is sold from the cellar, in its own e-shop, part of the sales are wine shops and corporate clients. Groups of up to 30 visitors can sign up for tasting and seating at the winery. The winery has joined the "Cyclists Welcome" program and organizes individual tour programs. With its wines, it participates in various fundraising events to raise funds for conservation projects, social causes, youth, and the restoration of local traditions and Greater German costume. The winery is a holder of the "Wine Tourism Certificate" and a co-creator of the "Region of the Flowering Vine" project.
