The family winery VICAN was founded only in 2015, but it has already earned its position on the wine scene and among wine lovers. It owns 33 hectares of vineyards in the Pálava region and its flagship is the Riesling. It also produces orange natural wine using the 8,000-year-old Georgian method - in clay kvevri jars. The owner of the winery is film producer Tomas Vican, who made the films Berry, Baikers and the series Vinaři. And thanks to his long-standing friendship with Karel Roden, a unique edition of wines bearing the actor's name was also created.
Sauvignon belongs among the most popular three white wines together with the Chardonnay and Riesling varieties. It is assumed that it comes from the French region of Bordeaux or from the Loire region. The most typical Sauvignons can be found in the Znojmo or Mikulov region.
