What shouldn't be missing in a wine lover's kit?

Anyone who loves wine should consider getting a few helpers to open, serve or store wine. They are not absolutely necessary, but they will help to make drinking wine a real experience. A corkscrew, decanter, aerator, funnel, vacuum pump and cooler all come into play.

Corkscrew

VývrtkaSommeliers and winemakers alike use a two-stage corkscrew and they know why. The cork is easy to remove thanks to a lever mechanism that pulls the cork out easily in two steps, without any strenuous tugging, pulling and, most importantly, without the risk of breaking the cork in the neck. It is advisable to get a corkscrew with a folding knife, which can easily handle cutting off the packaging that protects the bottle neck and cork.

Carafe

DecanterWant to serve wine like a pro? Try serving from a decanter or wine decanter, which is used for decanting, a sort of inhalation of the wine before serving. For this reason, you will appreciate the services of a decanter especially for older, full-bodied wines, i.e. in our case mostly red varieties. The decanter will also help to separate the wine sediment if necessary. Thanks to the master glassmakers, you can choose from a large number of stylish vessels that not only serve their purpose but also decorate.

Aerator

ProvzdušňovačQuality wine deserves to be served in optimum conditions and it is for serving that you should use an aerator. Proper aeration of the wine, which is not always achieved by simply pouring it into a glass, is essential for the full development of the wine's flavour and colour. The aerator has one opening to protect the wine and two vents to allow air to reach the wine as it is poured.

Findings

NálevkaThe funnel is a rewarding tool. It will keep your table or tablecloth clear of wine drips and also help to oxygenate the wine.

Vacuum pumps

Vakuová pumpičkaDidn't finish your bottle of wine? It's okay, because you can enjoy it the next day with the same taste and aroma characteristics. A vacuum pump helps to preserve the wine by sucking the air out of the bottle, where unwanted oxidation does not take place.

Cooler

CoolerDo you want to keep your wine at a cooler temperature? Get a cooler that will help you keep your wine cool even on hot summer days, so that its aroma and flavour will stand out when you drink it later.
