About winemaker

Maláník-Osička Winery s.r.o. is a small family company engaged in the cultivation of grapes and the production of quality wines. The winery is based on a long winemaking tradition. The winery is based on a philosophy that is guided by the direction of quality and modern processing of grapes, from which it obtains quality and appellation wines with a unique character. We are guided by the motto: "Every wine resembles its maker. It is a mirror of its art, skill, diligence and perseverance. Every wine contains the winemaker's wrinkles and smiles, joys and sorrows."

Basic characteristics of wine

It is said that Pinot Noir came to us in the 14th century during the reign of Charles IV. However, the authenticity of this information has never been proven. In our country, it is grown in all wine-growing subregions, the most widespread is in the Velkopavlovice and Mikulov regions. Pinot Noir from the vicinity of Mělník, Litoměřice, in Moravia from the Bzenecko and Mutěnice regions are excellent.
