About winemaker

Small family winery KNÁPEK in Strachotín in South Moravia. The vineyards are located in the wine-growing village of Strachotín, on the Šusfeldy vineyard track and we currently cultivate 19 hectares of vineyard. We offer a wide range of barrel and bottled Moravian wines. The winery also includes a guesthouse, which is located on a slope between the vineyards above Strachotín and its elevated position offers a unique view of Pálava and the Novomlýnské reservoirs.

Basic characteristics of wine

Sauvignon belongs among the most popular three white wines together with the Chardonnay and Riesling varieties. It is assumed that it comes from the French region of Bordeaux or from the Loire region. The most typical Sauvignons can be found in the Znojmo or Mikulov region.
