At the beginning of the family winery of Petra and Dalibor Mikulenko was a book about growing grapes, which Dalibor Mikulenko as a civil servant accidentally found in the window of a bookstore. Through a small vineyard in the village of Podvinní then led the way to the impulsive establishment of a wine-growing and wine-making company in 2009. The boutique winery is housed in a gradually renovated and expanded complex, which now includes production, storage, sales, presentation and accommodation areas and is gradually expanding to include new visitor and operational facilities in neighbouring houses. The winery farms its own and leased vineyards in the lines Pod Třešňovkou, Na jámě, Na vinici and Labská stráň. The Mikulenkovs use traditional vinification methods using the gravity principle. The pressing is carried out on a horizontal vacuum pneumatic press, the musts are decanted, fermentation takes place with or without pure yeast cultures, the musts are cooled during fermentation, the white wines are aged in stainless steel tanks, the red wines in wooden barrels. The wines are bottled in the year following the grape harvest and, with a few exceptions, are sold only in the winery. The wide range of services for both free visitors and groups booked for tastings is based on home-made gastronomic specialities, whether it is small accessories to the wine, homemade bread, spreads, crackling, bacon dumplings, pancakes or straight St. Martin's goose. In the stylish banquet room, the Mikulenkes have managed to create a relaxed atmosphere that attracts more and more excursionists who have made their way around the Elbe. Visitors can also sit outside in the farmyard. The winery's specialty is, for example, the Tergus (from the Latin for back) wine - Dornfelder processed using the port wine technology (by bottling at 19%) and aged in a barrique barrel. It is the only officially produced quality liqueur wine in the Czech Republic. After the acquisition of additional technologies, the 2015 vintage brought a qualitative leap, we recommend, for example, Riesling from a newly leased vineyard or Aurelius in two batches. In addition to expanding their pure winemaking activities, the Mikulenkes are also building a farm with rabbits, ducks, geese, chickens and, in winter, small lambs on the vineyard.
