"Our winemakers received a beautiful 14 large gold medals. The U.S. is not a member of the OIV International Organization of Vine and Wine, so the 30% limit for awarding medals does not apply herebut all the wines that reach the calculated point limit will be awarded a medal. The DOUBLE GOLD award means that all four judges on the panel agreed on the gold medal," commented JUDr. Luboš Bárta, editor-in-chief of the SOMMELIER magazine, who organised the participation of Moravian wines in the competition and also took part in the competition as a juror, added: "this year's TXIWC was held during the rodeo in San Antonio, the biggest event of the year in Texas, which is annually attended byI was given the unforgettable chance to present 20 Moravian wines in the VIP centre. Texas is a state famous for its red wines, so our pleasantly aromatic white garnered enthusiasm as if it rode in on an unsaddled bull, and the presentation ended with questions about the possibility of importing such wines."
