On Sunday 28 April, all cellars will be open for shopping for your favourite wines so you can take a piece of Strážnice home.
During the Saturday programme you will be able to listen to traditional dulcimer music, which will give the event a true Moravian atmosphere. There will also be a wine competition, the winners of which will be announced at the end of the event.
This year, the Vojšica dulcimer music - in the Petrov Plže area and the Strážnica dulcimer music - in Sudoměřice will play for you.
Venue
Petrovské Plže is a historical and tourist pearl of South Moravia. This area boasts a collection of approximately 80 wine cellars dating back to the 15th century. The cellars, which were built by the winemakers themselves, form a unique street development and are spread around two small squares.
Sudoměřice, the second venue of the Open Cellars event, is also a village rich in wine culture and tradition. Together with Petrovské Plze, they offer visitors the opportunity to discover the history and present of Moravian winemaking, taste exceptional wines and enjoy the atmosphere of true Moravian hospitality.
You will definitely not get sore feet between these locations and regular bus transport is provided for you as part of the entrance fee. And if you want to take a walk and get some fresh air, the distance between these sites is 2 km.
