Main guarantor of the project: the Association of Sommeliers of the Czech Republic. The Professional category is a continuation of the junior competition, and above all it is about keeping sommeliers in the field. It will be an additional motivation for the junior competitors to watch the competition of professionals, more experienced colleagues. An important part will be seminars by experts on winemaking, viticulture, wines from the Czech Republic and typical varieties, including topics related to domestic wines. The training will be on how to present and offer domestic wines to consumers. The competition is then aimed at improving the quality of work with wine in gastronomy and on the market in general. Specifically, to improve the knowledge, presentation, serving, storage of wines and their pairing with food in gastronomic establishments. Emphasis is placed on deepening knowledge of wines from Moravia and Bohemia.
