Let's taste the wines from our neighbours in Mělník!
Last year's weather conditions were extremely unfavourable for the harvest in the vineyards. Frost, hail and drought during the grape-pouring period were not favourable to the winemakers, and torrential rain during the ripening period completed the work of destruction.
This makes the traditional craft, which has belonged to the Polabí region since the time of St Ludmila, all the more deserving of support from Czech consumers.
After last year's very successful first year of the wine gastronomic and social evening in the Neratovice Social House, the Neratovice Basket 2025 will once again present the excellent production of winemakers from the Mělník region on 15 November. A free tasting experience will guide visitors through local production from traditional wines of the most popular varieties to wines from new breeding or created by experimental methods or reconstruction of historical winemaking practices. A beautiful souvenir of the experiential evening will be the visitors' original wine tasting glass included in the price of admission. Visitors will choose the samples to be tasted in it themselves by purchasing them with tokens directly at the stands of the individual winemakers. Wineries directly from Mělník and the surrounding area will present their art, whose products are often awarded medals from prestigious wine shows and competitions.
