The white grape medium late variety from the Burgundy family was bred in France from the Heunisch variety.

The grape is medium-sized with a short stalk. The berry is small to medium-sized, round. The sprouting time is medium late, the growth is medium lush. The variety is resistant to attack by downy mildew, and is moderately resistant to attack noble rot. Due to the early sprouting, it can be damaged by spring frosts.

The wine has interesting aromatic substances and fine tannins.
