Family WINERY KONEČNÝ manages 7ha of vineyards in the spirit of integrated production. Thanks to expert pruning, low bush load, precise green work, grape sorting and late harvesting, we produce high quality grapes from which we produce high quality premium and special wines. We produce wines using modern technologies such as gentle grape processing, destemming, fermentation with noble yeasts and temperature controlled fermentation. The degradation of malic acid in red wines is a matter of course.
The variety was cultivated in Velké Pavlovice in 1960 by Ing. Jaroslav Horák from Frankovka and Saint Laurence. It was named in honour of Ch. K. André, the founder of the Association for Vine and Fruit Breeding in Brno. This is one of the reasons why we can find it especially in the Velkopavlovice subregion, however, interesting André wines are definitely also produced in the Slovácko and Mikulov regions.
