In the beautiful surroundings of the chateau in Nové Město, owned by the Bartoň-Dobenín family, the third year of the popular Chateau Wine Festival is taking place. It continues the tradition of the NovoVinobraní held in previous years on the historic vineyard terraces of the house U Horské brány. The Chateau Vintage is held as part of the European Heritage Day celebrations, which take place on the adjacent Hus Square. The celebrations include a historical parade led by Jan Černčický of Kácov, the founder of Nové Město nad Metují, and a number of performances by dance and music groups.
