You will learn how to select, taste and serve wine correctly. Everything will be supported by practical demonstration, selection of a variety of sample

Course content:
- History and meaning of the word sommelier
- sommelier and its meaning and function
- distribution of wines in the Czech Republic and the world
- important wine regions in the world, types of world wines (practical demonstration of wines from these regions)
- history of grapevines, basic grape varieties in gastronomy (practical demonstration of wines)
- description of wines - appearance, aroma, taste, overall impression (practical demonstration with wines)
- wine evaluation and rating systems (practical demonstration of wines)
- principles of serving wine, preparation before serving, storage of wine
- food pairing with different types of wine (with a practical demonstration of pairing wines with small snacks)
- service parameters and practical examples of serving (sparkling, white and red wine)

During the course you will taste several samples of foreign and domestic wines.
