A festival like wine...The Znojmo Music Festival tries to combine attractive music with the unmistakable wine of the Znojmo region. All concerts are accompanied by wine tasting of regional winemakers. The event brings together nearly two dozen wineries, which conduct wine tastings and wine talks at the concerts. The festival also includes a unique limited edition of festival wines. A unique collection of the best wines is selected by a specially formed committee of sommeliers, winemakers and personalities.From 10-27 July 2025 we are again preparing a very attractive programme.The theme of Antiquity and Love is based on the opera by G.F. Handel: Giulio Cesare in Egitto (Julius Caesar in Egypt). After last year's success, we are continuing to prepare a family opera not only for children.We are also preparing a performance by the festival's patron Pavel Šporcl with the symphony orchestra, a concert by the excellent pianist Ivo Kahánek with accompanying words by Marek Orko Vácha, and a performance by the festival's own Capella Sebastiana band. The latter will once again bring to life some of the gems of Znojmo's musical archives. There will also be crossover programmes with dulcimer or jazz and this year we will even see acrobatic and dance performances connected with music. You really have something to look forward to!
