About winemaker
We are a family winery engaged in the production of quality and specialty wines based in Zaječí, which is part of the Velkopavlovice wine subregion. The village is situated in the southernmost corner of South Moravia about 35 km southeast of Brno in the close vicinity of the Lednice-Valtice area. We manage 10 hectares of vineyards in the vineyard lines Růžový vrch, Nová hora and Pod Nová hora.
Basic characteristics of wine
The variety was bred by the director of the wine school in Klosterneuburg in Austria, Dr. F. Zweigelt in 1922 and its expansion to other countries was credited after the Second World War to Dr. Lenz Moser.
