About winemaker

The total area of vineyards of the Tasovice winery is almost 100 hectares in the vineyards Skalka in the village of Krhovice, Kamenný vrch, Stará hora and Staré vinohrady in the village of Tasovice. The historic cellar is located in an unconventional location in the middle of the village of Tasovice right next to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Visitors can thus admire not only the typical terroir of Tasovice wines, but also the genius loci of the historical centre of the wine-growing village of Tasovice. Our wines are also included in the VOC Znojmo system (Wines of Original Certification). We look forward to your visit.

Basic characteristics of wine

Sauvignon belongs among the most popular three white wines together with the Chardonnay and Riesling varieties. It is assumed that it comes from the French region of Bordeaux or from the Loire region. The most typical Sauvignons can be found in the Znojmo or Mikulov region.
