About winemaker

Adámek's winery began planting vineyards in Višňov in the Nová hora area in 1997 and officially produced wine. It operates on the outskirts of the Znojmo sub-region in places where the climate gives rise to wines with a distinctive varietal aroma. The origins of the winemaking tradition go back to the ancestors. The Adámek brothers have been producing wine for the family since the 1990s and gradually started buying grapes until they started their own business. Some of the raw materials come from a careful selection of local winegrowers. There are around 20 varieties in the range (most recently Dornfelder and Aurelius have been added). Annually, the total production capacity of the home cellar is around 90,000 litres. Production uses a programmable pneumatic press, a new kalolis, a new cross-flow filter, controlled fermentation, vinifiers, stainless steel tanks, and some lots are aged in barriques. The company motto is "The World of Wine Art" (the winery's partner is, for example, the producer of the TV series The Winemakers). The winery cooperates closely with the Wine Gallery in Brno, with whom, for example, in the past it has prepared the red wine Bonarda for the popular film Raftici, starred in the film Berry and 2Bobule. In collaboration with actor Karel Roden, the Adámks produce an exclusive line of Roden wines. The symbol of the labels is St. John of Nepomuk - from every bottle sold the winery contributes to the repair of statues of this saint.

Basic characteristics of wine

Veltlín Green is our most widespread variety and is grown on about 14% of the area of our vineyards. It is definitely worth trying Veltlín wine from the Znojmo, Mikulov or Velkopavlovice regions, and in Bohemia from Mělnicko, Roudnice or Most.
