About winemaker

The winery was established in 2012 as a continuation of more than fifty years of family winemaking and viticulture. The main motto of the winery is a gentle approach to the vineyard and the wine, with an emphasis on the character of each variety. The vineyards are in the wine-growing village of Novosedly and Mikulov. The winery with tasting room, accommodation and summer restaurant is in the historical centre of Mikulov. The wine production was extended in 2020 with the addition of a historic cellar on Zlámalova Street, where wine is processed with modern technology, directly under St. Kopeček.

Basic characteristics of wine

Pinot Gris is known all over the world. Pinot comes from the French pin as the pine cone resembles the shape of a pinot grape. Pinot Gris is also interesting by the fact that although it is a white wine, the color of the grape is almost blue, more precisely gray-blue-red. It is widespread in all sub-areas, mostly in the Velkopavlovice region.
