About the winery
Family-run organic winery, farming 12 ha of vineyards on Kraví hora near Znojmo. It was the first winery in the Znojmo region to introduce gravity processing of grapes in a new, but historically conceived cellar in Nový Šaldorf. In addition to traditional white, rose and red wines, it also produces special wines such as ice wines, wines aged on yeast and in oak barrels (sur lie) or liqueur wines (Šaler). Špalek Winery was awarded the "Small Winery of the Year" award in 2015.
On the road between Znojmo and Šatov in the locality called Blue Cellars.

VINAŘSTVÍ ŠPALEK is a small, traditional, organic, family winery. All vineyards are situated on Kraví hora single vineyard 10 km far away from Austrian border. The winery's specialities are wines made using traditional technologies of 19th century - brand name Edelspitz - and liqueur wines called Šaler.
