Bronislav Grmolec

The tradition of the Grmolec family winery in Moravian Slovácko dates back to 1889, when František Grmolec planted the first vine and later, together with his son Jan, started producing vine wines in one of the oldest stone cellars in Hovorany. This tradition was gradually continued by Ing. Josef Grmolec, who planted new vineyards in 1976 and 1986. In 1983 he started to build a new cellar farm. In recent years, he has been growing grapes and making wine with his youngest son Bronislav. In 2003 and 2006 they planted new vineyards with a wide variety of varieties and focus on the production of high quality wines, produced with modern technology, which the entire cellar farm is equipped with. The varieties grown in our winery include, Veltliner Green, Müller Thurgau, Riesling, Hibernal, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Aurelius, Tramin, Muscat of Moravia, Blue Portugal, Zweigeltrebe, Frankovka, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder and Cabernet Moravia. The range also includes the trademark wines, Denise Rosé, Cuvée Grmolec Blanc and Cuvée Grmolec Rouge. We will be glad if you find pleasure in our wines and will be happy to return to them. Cheers.
