About the winery
Kovacs Winery is a small family-run winery located in the village of Novosedly in the Mikulov wine sub-region in Moravia. The winery follows a long family tradition of growing grapes and producing top quality wines focused on the original origin. In the production of wine and in the vineyards, this winery places great emphasis on making the unique location and soil composition of the individual vineyard lines (terroir) stand out as much as possible. The vineyards are managed and carefully preserved in harmony with nature according to the rules of organic farming.
The winery is located 12 km from Mikulov near the village of Novosedly. (150 m from the brickworks Novosedly). Access from Brno via Pasohlávky and Brod nad Dyjí. From Mikulov on the road to Znojmo.

Kovacs Winery is a small family-run winery located in the village of Novosedly in the Mikulov wine sub-region in Moravia. The winery follows a long family tradition of growing grapes and producing top quality wines focused on the original origin. In the production of wine and in the vineyards, this winery places great emphasis on making the unique location and soil composition of the individual vineyard lines (terroir) stand out as much as possible. The vineyards are managed and carefully preserved in harmony with nature according to the rules of organic farming. The vineyards are personally looked after by a very experienced viticulturist, Alois Černík. For many years, Mr. Černík was the right hand of the chief technologist and oenologist of Kovacs Winery. Nowadays, Mr. Černík has taken over this function completely, which is an optimal combination of a top winegrower and an experienced oenologist in one person. As chief viticulturist and technologist, he is therefore the best guarantee of continuity in the production of the highest quality wines that Kovacs Winery has been producing for many years.
