BIO Winery Víno Marcinčák - family biodynamic winery, Organic Winery Marcincak

The family organic and biodynamic winery Víno Marcinčák, officially founded in 1990 by Petr Marcinčák in Novosedly (Mikulov sub-region), manages over 110 ha of its own vineyards - the largest area under organic regime in the Czech Republic. Since 2008, all vineyards are certified organic and the winery is currently undergoing conversion to DEMETER certification; farming is carried out according to the principles of biodynamics with its own herbal preparations and vermicompost from earthworms. Even on such a large area, the grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilisers, which guarantees the purity of the wines without residues.
With such grapes, the full potential of the terroir, i.e. the characters of the individual vineyard lines of the Mikulov sub-region, is then exploited. They treat the wines as gently as they treat the vineyards - they minimise intervention, use natural processes so that the varietal purity, freshness and rich fruitiness of the wines stand out.

The portfolio includes a wide range of varietal and cuvée wines, specialities such as botrytic and ice wines and last but not least the unique PDO 'Novosedelské straw wine', which can only be produced in Novosedelsko under very strict rules. Thanks to its ecological approach and innovations such as the use of solar energy or minimising its carbon footprint, the winery is one of the pioneers of sustainable viticulture in the Czech Republic.

The quality of the wines has been confirmed by a number of prestigious awards: Grand Gold at the Asia Wine Trophy, the largest OIV wine competition in Asia (2019 - Best White Wine of the Competition and Best Czech Producer), Berliner Wine Trophy, in the USA Platinum Medal at the Great American International Wine Competition, Grand Gold at the Texas International Wine Competition (Pinot gris 2018 late harvest and Pálava 2018 grape selection), in Canada, Double GOLD at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition or Gold in Quebec at the Sélections Mondiales des Vins, Platinum medal at the GROW du Monde 2024 Riesling Competition, straw wines from Novosedelsk were also awarded in Paris by the French Sommelier Association.

The family-owned organic winery Víno Marcinčák is also the most successful winery in the history of the Czech Organic Food of the Year competition, where it has won more than 10 times (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2025).
All these achievements underline the winery's commitment to the highest possible quality and respect for nature.

The best wine collection Valtice Wine Market 2002 - Gold medals, the cup of SZVŠ for the best ambalage Champions of Champions of Mikulov Region 2003 - Champion of the exhibition - Cup of the Minister of Agriculture for the best wine collection - Award of the President of the Chamber of Agrarian Affairs for the best rated white wine. Awarded wines of the winery in the March competition organized this year in Paris jointly by the French and Czech Sommeliers Association.
