About the winery

The WALDBERG Winery operates in a sandstone cellar built in 1770 in Chvalovice by the abbot of the Premonstratensian Order as part of the Louka Monastery in Znojmo. In its time it served as a tithe cellar and is now on the list of cultural monuments. With its length of 250 metres, it is one of the largest in the Znojmo region and the wines here have optimal conditions for ripening and creating a typical varietal character.

On the route Znojmo - Chvalovice - Hata in Chvalovice, turn right towards Šatov. 1 km after Chvalovice, turn right after 200 m in a cellar alley on the left.

The winery is named after the Waldberg vineyard, which is one of the finest vineyards in the Znojmo wine sub-region. The company manages a total of 100 hectares of vineyards in a sustainable integrated production system. All the vineyards are located south of Znojmo in the vicinity of the wine-growing villages of Vrbovec, Dyjákovičky and Chvalovice and, in addition to the aforementioned Waldberg location, they also include Šác, Dívčí hora, U sv.
