About the winery

The Konopný Kopec winery was established in 2019. This young winery, however, continues a family winemaking tradition dating back to the 1930s. Above Blatnice pod Svatým Antonínkem, the winery has grown up and is embedded in Konopný Hill. Upon arrival, the view of the relief reminiscent of wine sheds, a typical building of the local wine architecture, will catch your eye. We invite you to visit the winery, which has the ambition to become a shining star in the sky of the wine constellation of South Moravia.

Thus, at the foot of the White Carpathians, a modern winery project has been created, whose philosophy is to produce high quality wines from the routes known as Kamenice, Plachty, Roháče or Nová hora. The winery belongs to the Slovácké wine region, where not only Burgundy varieties but also Rieslings and aromatic varieties such as Sauvignon, Muscat of Moravia and Muscaris thrive on the loess soils in the undulating landscape. The Konopný Kopec winery owns a trademark for its Blatnický Roháč cuvée, which is a balanced combination of Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Sylvánský Green. Young, modern varieties such as Hibernal, Solaris or Saphira also deserve your attention. The father of the idea is local entrepreneur Antonín Bachan, whose name has been known to people in the wider area for more than thirty years. He is the owner of the local bakery that bears his name. This lover of good wine and charismatic man has teamed up with a local winemaker a generation younger than him, Honza Cícha, who comes from a family of Blatnik winemakers. Together they created a modern winery based on family and local tradition. This union promises not only quality wine, but also a new and interesting impulse for those looking for unique wine projects. We invite you to visit a winery that has the ambition to become a shining star in the sky of the wine constellation of South Moravia.
The authors of the project are Martin Bukolský and Miloš Černohorský.
