"This year's edition is absolutely exceptional in terms of competition. A record 1,631 samples were entered in the first national round and it was extremely difficult for winemakers to compete in such a large number. The enormous quality and balance of this year's collection is evidenced by the fact that 87 of the top 100 wines advanced to the Salon with a rating ofm 90 points or more," emphasized Petr Gondáš, Wine Salon manager from the National Wine Centre. According to him, thanks to its uncompromising system, the Salon guarantees top quality and gives visitors the opportunity to get a comprehensive picture of the current state of our winery. People will recognise the wines awarded with this prestigious label by the gold medal "Salon of Wines 2026" on the bottles, not only in Valtice, but also in mainstream stores and restaurants.
The collection of 100 gold medal winners of the Salon des Vins 2026 includes a total of 26 varieties from 61 winemakers and wine companies. The largest representation in the current edition went to BV Winery with six wines, followed by Bzenec Chateau Winery with five samples.
