On Friday, August 16, the afternoon and evening will be lit up not only with traditional folklore performances, but also with delicious moments associated with the drink of the gods. For wine lovers, there will be a special zone where more than a dozen top winemakers will present their products and offer the opportunity to taste their wine.

The International Folklore Festival in Červený Kostelec is the most important event of its kind in the Hradec Králové Region and one of the oldest festivals in the Czech Republic. Thanks to the high quality of all the programmes by foreign ensembles, which represent the top of folklore in their countries, it has been ranked among the most important festivals in Europe and has been awarded a place among the main festivals held under the auspices of the International Organization of Folk Art I. O. V., which is a B-status member of UNESCO.
Over the course of five days, nearly 600 dancers, dancers and musicians from some 12-16 folklore groups from all over the world will present themselves to the public in fifteen varied programme blocks.
