Masopust, fašaňk, ostatky... all these names refer to the same folklore tradition associated with the celebration of the Lenten season.

Come and experience one of the oldest folklore events in Velké Pavlovice and enjoy this festive day accompanied by good wine and entertainment.

You can look forward to:

Permission of the remains by the mayor of the town
Remains parade with stops at our winemakers
10 open cellars where you will be able to taste their great wines throughout the event
The burial of the bass, symbolizing the retreat from music for the upcoming season of Lent.

Traditional vestigial delicacies on the refreshment menu of each winery.
Enjoy the specialties of the slaughterhouse, jitrnice, jelítki, press, slaughterhouse soup, ovar, as well as divine graces, doughnuts or muffins.

You will be able to taste more than 150 different samples of wines and other wine and regional products.
The cellars will be open from 11 am to 6 pm.

You can also shop for your favorite wines on Sunday morning from 9am to 12pm.

Ticket includes:
Unlimited tasting at all open cellars,
coupons for the purchase of wine worth a total of xy,- CZK (xy CZK in advance sale),
a map of the city with the open cellars marked,
a bag with a wine glass,
a stylish pen.

Vouchers purchased in the presale must be redeemed for a ticket and a completed package.

As usual, the open cellars in Velké Pavlovice usually continue at the dulcimer in Řádek Winery .
And it will be no different after the Last Open Cellars on 7.2.2026.
The discussion will follow after the official end of the event, i.e. after the burial of the bass in this very cellar.
You will be able to listen to the music of CM Kapric from 20 to 24 hours and the entrance fee for the evening discussion is 200 CZK.
