Festival of open cellars Autumn in Bzenecko

In recent years, the town of Bzenec has become the wine centre of Slovácko. It is dominated by the silhouette of a castle and a chapel on a hill overgrown with vines, but the local winemakers and their magnificent wine cellars have become the same symbol. And of course the wines, you can bet that you will find wines from Bzenec among the champions and category winners in every year of the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic. From Bzenec to Kyjov is 12 km and the festival stops will be at the cellars in Vracov and in Vlkošské búdy, under the Achtele mountain. The festival will offer a wide range of wineries, from the giant such as the Bzenec Chateau Winery to the smallest wineries in the Vlkoš cellar, such as U Štipčáků.

The price of a two-day ticket includes entry to all cellars with tasting of at least 300 festival wines, a printed guide and festival app, a tasting glass, a stylish textile bag and unlimited rides on festival buses. Starting on Saturday 25 October in Bzenec, the cellars will open from 10am to 9pm, and on Sunday from 10am to 3pm. On both days there is also a bargain purchase of wines directly from the winemakers.

The registration point with on-site ticket sales is open in Bzenec on Friday 24 October from 3 to 8 pm, Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm. A shuttle service runs between the villages throughout the event. Advance ticket sales will run in 3 waves through the Oct. 23 festival website.
