The Moravská Nová Ves Wine Association invites all fans, wine lovers and winemakers to the authentic premises of the cellar alleys of Výmol and Zátiší in Moravská Nová Ves on Saturday, 12 September 2020 from 14.00 to 22.00 hours for a traditional special tasting of more than 100 samples of Cabernet Moravia wines from the entire Morava wine region.

The tasting of the Cabernet Moravia variety is unique in its importance as a comprehensive introduction of the first Cabernet-type variety bred in the Czech Republic in its place of origin with the direct participation of its breeder, Mr. Lubomir Glos. This event gives everyone a unique opportunity to penetrate into the secrets of growing this variety in the conditions of domestic wine-growing regions and sub-regions, to gain new and compare their own experience with growing this variety and the technology of red wine production.

Each visitor will be able to taste the complete range of wines offered after buying a glass and a catalogue, personally meet individual winemakers and the breeder of the variety, compare individual samples from different winemakers, discuss with them the methods of growing and producing the wines of the Cabernet Moravia variety, the influence of weather and agrotechnical interventions on the quality of wine, etc.

In the offer of this year's tasting there will be not only wines from "home" winemakers from Moravská Nová Ves and the nearby surroundings of the Slovácké wine subregion, but also wines from neighbouring wine subregions will be represented and you will also have the opportunity to taste Cabernet Moravia wines included among the 100 best wines of the Czech Republic, in the so-called Wine Salon 2020.

The tasting of the Cabernet Moravia variety will take place as part of the all-day cultural programme of Vinobraní 2020. Wine cellars will be open for visitors in the area of the cellar streets, offering barrel and bottled wine and especially honest bourbon made from grapes, as well as a variety of refreshments including regional specialities and a rich cultural programme of all genres.
