Filip Mlýnek, who despite his relative youth became, thanks to his wine-making art, one of the most renowned Moravian oenologists, if you want cellar masters. He comes from a prominent winemaking family. His great "wine" teacher was Filip's grandfather Miroslav Svoboda and probably Filip inherited all his "wine" cells from him.
After graduating from the Wine School in Valtice in 2001, he headed across the border to Germany for an internship at the winery of his uncle - the great winemaker Franz Künstler, the prestigious Weingut Künstler winery from the Rhineland. From there, Filip brings back very valuable experience, which he then uses on further winemaking stints. After his return, he gradually works in important Moravian wineries under Miloš Michlovský, in Mikrosvín Mikulov and simultaneously with his father builds the winery facilities for the Wine Court u Mlýnků. Probably the most visible Filip is the cellar master of the Mikulov winery Ing. Miroslav Volařík. It is in this winery that the personality of winemaker Filip Mlýnko develops most significantly. Over time, he gives the wines of this winery his distinctive style. Many successes and awards follow, including the victory of Volařík Winery in the Winery of the Year, Winemaker of the Year, King of Wines and the inclusion of many wines in the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic, and it is undoubtedly Filip's art that is behind these successes. In this winery he also deservedly wins the title of Enologist of the Year 2014. And as if that wasn't enough, every year Filip produces great wines under the banner of his own winery Filip Mlýnek. These great wines come from the famous vineyards of the Mikulov sub-region, such as Liščí vrch, Plotny, Valtická, Dunajovský kopec, Turold, U Venuše and others. Wines made from the varieties of Ryzlink vlašský, Ryzlink rýnský, Veltlínské zelené or Pálava completely reflect the terroir of this region and are undoubtedly among the best that can be tasted in Moravia. The winery produces about 95% of white wines and occasionally produces red wines, mostly barriques ( Svatovavřinecké, Frankovka, Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, Merlot ).
