This exhibition continues the tradition of wine exhibitions organized by the Czech and Slovak Union of Gardeners, which are always held in a two-year cycle alternately in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In Slovakia, the exhibition is traditionally always held in Skalica, in the Czech Republic the venue is changing, after Hustopeče (2008), Vracov (2012), Břeclav (2016), in 2020 it will be held in two places, in Brno (16.5.2020) and Prague (23.5.2020). This is the largest wine exhibition held within the Czech Horticultural Association. The event is held under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic. The quality in terms of expertise will be ensured by members of the wine committee of the Czech Horticultural Society and other experienced winemakers. The tasting of the samples sent will take place on 9 May 2020, the members of the tasting committees will be holders of tasting tests and experienced tasters from among the members of the ČZS. The actual public exhibition will take place on 16.5.2020 in Brno at the BVV Congress Centre and on 23.5.2020 in Prague at the National Museum of Agriculture on Letná. In the Congress Centre in Brno, a ceremony will be held to award the best wines and the main prizes will be awarded to the Champions of the exhibition according to the criteria specified in the statutes. The estimated number of samples for visitors to taste could reach about 1800. The programme in both Brno and Prague will include a performance of dulcimer music.
