In the Level 1 course, under the guidance of an experienced lecturer, learners will acquire the basic skills and knowledge that will enable them to pursue a career in the hospitality and wine trade. The training is also suitable for wine lovers who want to expand their wine awareness.

By the end of the course, students will be able to systematically taste wine and identify the main wine styles. In addition, they will learn the most important principles of wine and food pairing. Successful graduates will receive an internationally recognised WSET certificate and badge after passing the exam. In addition, each learner has the opportunity to bring a wine of their own production or a Czech or Moravian wine of their choice, which they will present and which will then be tasted and evaluated by all participants.

In the WSET courses, which take place on three levels, participants will gradually learn to navigate through more than 130 international wines. Classes will be taught in English. MKM Education Centre is the only licensed provider of WSET courses in the Czech Republic.
