The Association of Winemakers of the Brno Region invites you to the 43rd South Moravian regional wine exhibition with international participation, which is associated with a showcase of wines, both small winemakers and large-scale producers from the wine-growing villages of South Moravia together with winemakers of the Small Carpathian Wine Region from the Slovak Republic and other European countries. You can look forward to more than 750 samples of wines, which will be served from coolers with the possibility of free tasting. Dulcimer music will be playing. The exhibition takes place from 9.00 to 17.00 in the Congress Centre at the Brno Exhibition Centre, by the tram stop at the Exhibition Centre main entrance. Admission is 350 CZK and includes a ticket for free tasting of all wine samples, a glass and a catalogue. There is also the possibility of sitting at tables in three halls for 400 visitors, the possibility of buying small refreshments and continuous tasting of the renowned champions of the exhibition. The champions will be announced at the exhibition in the categories of best young white wine, best young red wine, best older white wine, best older red wine, best collection of five wines, the JUDr. Josef Špíšek Award for the best Pinot Noir, the Doc. Ing. Eduard Postbiegel, for the best wine from newly bred varieties, the best foreign wine, the prize of the Board of the Association for the best archive wine and the winners of wine varieties with at least 7 samples.
The evaluation of wines in the committees will take place on Saturday, 15 February 2020 from 8.30 to 14.00 hours, at the Secondary School of Food and Services, Charbulova Street 106 in Brno - Černovice. Come on time. The wines are evaluated on a 100-point scale, both experienced and novice wine evaluators are invited. We look forward to your participation. The collection of wine samples (3 bottles of 0.7 l) will take place from Tuesday 11 February to Wednesday 12 February 2020 from 9.00 to 17.00 in the clubhouse of the Wine Growers of the Brno Region at 80 Jugoslávská Street in Brno Černé Pole.
