VINERY VOLAŘÍK from MIKULOV is currently one of the most popular and successful wineries in our small country. The winery first entered the market in 2007 and continued the rich family tradition of the founder Ing. Miroslav Volařík. The winery now manages in integrated production 80 ha of its own vineyards in the Mikulov wine sub-region, of which 4.2 ha are under organic farming. It produces mainly appellation white wines, which are supplemented by rosé wines and, since 2011, by Volařík Sekt. The combination of the most prestigious routes with the most suitable varieties has given rise to a range of wines under the name TERROIR, from the vineyards Kotelná, Železná, Ořechová hora, Věstoňsko, Purmice, Levá klentnická. In 2014 the winery came out with a new line ORGANIC. It offers three interspecific varieties - Hibernal, Johanniter and Saphira, which are grown in the organic farming regime on the Věstonsko vineyard, in Perná.
The winery has built its new facilities for its presentation and production of its great wines and already the 2017 harvest was produced in these new premises.
The 2018 vintage was the second in the new winery, so come and judge the quality of these new wines.
We will mainly look at the TERROIR wines of the new 2018 vintage at this tasting.
Ing. Eliška Becková, the winery's oenologist, won the title of Enologist of the Year 2018 last year.
Winemaker of the Year 2011 and 2014, 2nd place Winemaker of the Year 2016 and King of Wines 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014.
"Wine is our life. We have learned to recognize the unique nature of each variety and to respect it carefully in every step of cultivation and processing. The only true value for us is quality without compromise."
