The MIKULOV 101 Festival is a joint activity of winemakers from the Czech Republic and Austria from the neighbouring wine regions of Mikulov and Weinviertel, who in their normal winemaking practice draw not only on the same growing conditions, but also on similar and interconnected history, culture and traditions.

The festival will take place on 24-25 August 2019 at several venues in Mikulov. On the program will be a WINEMAKER'S MARKET of local wineries from Mikulov and Weinviertel, MASTER CLASS of wines from both regions with guided tasting, EXHIBITION OF HISTORICAL AND CONTEMPORARY LABELS connected with expert interpretation, tasting and voting competition for the most beautiful label, WINE RIDE OR "WINE RIDE" - a bicycle ride with a field mini-tasting and a stop at the border at the Gateway to Freedom Monument, as well as a full-day rich cultural program with performers from the Czech Republic and Austria, "street food" refreshments with traditional local specialties and other accompanying events focused on the wines of both regions, traditions, history and culture. Entrance to the festival and its accompanying programme is free of charge!
