Behind the Kounickou Frankovka

On June 1, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. the fourth year of the journey Behind Kounicou Frankovka will take place and winemakers from Dolní Kounice, Moravské Bránice, Nové Bránice and Trboušany will open their cellars and pouring places for you. Each winemaker will have their Frankovka and other wines typical of our region ready for you to taste. These are mainly Müller Thurgau, Veltliner Grüner, Veltliner Red Early, Sauvignon, Chardonay, Zweigeltrebe, St. Lawrence, etc. This year we will try to maintain 20 sites again. There will be a shuttle bus service to facilitate transport between the sites. However, if you are a hiking and cycling enthusiast, we will have pleasant sightseeing circuits marked out for you along the kounick. Thanks to this, visitors can get to know the historic town of Dolní Kounice, the valley of the Jihlava River and the beautiful vineyards between the villages during the tasting.
Visitors can meet the winemakers, talk to them about the individual wines, listen to the stories of these wines and establish friendly relationships with each other that can be further strengthened in future years. This is the essence of our Behind the Kounickou Frankovka event, where not only are excellent wines from local winemakers tasted, but also friendships are established between winemakers and visitors.
