Wine Day in Buchlovice is unique in that the winemakers of the organizing Folklore Studio Buchlovice are able to present approximately 600 samples of selected wine varieties collected throughout the Czech Republic and partly abroad in a representative exhibition of selected wine varieties (starts at 16.00) every year. By comparing a large number of young and archive wines from many wine-growing regions, you will have a unique opportunity to understand the character of the varieties.

The wine basket is also accompanied by an interesting accompanying programme:

A pseudo-scientific conference on a given topic starts at 13.30 (in the past e.g. Wine and Jára Cimrman, Wine and Sin, Wine and the Poetry of Life, Wine and Sex...). These conferences are often attended by interesting personalities from the cultural world - in the past, for example, writers Jaromír Tomeček, Ludvík Vaculík, poet Miroslav Hule, publicist Alexandr Tomský, artist and writer Jaroslav Kovanda, journalist and TV presenter Martin Severa, or a peculiar blogger speaking Ostrava dialect Ladislav Větvička.

From 18.00 you can then auction off a bottle or a collection of wines at the Auction of Champions and Rare Wines. If you succeed, you can be doubly happy, in addition to the delicious wine for the festive occasion, you will also contribute to a charitable cause - the proceeds are always donated to a specific disabled person or caring family.

Transport to the Buchlov foothills for the Wine Day is provided by the "Koštbus". So leave your car at home and comfortably get there and back by this special bus line from the district town of Uherské Hradiště or from the railway station in Staré Město.

The Rubáš dulcimer band plays for good mood, singing and dancing.
