The traditional celebration of young wine and St. Martin's goose will be experienced by the inhabitants of Zlín for the fifth time. St. Martin's Day falls on Friday. However, the St. Martin's feast will take place on Saturday, 12 November, at Míru Square, when a bottle of St. Martin's wine will be symbolically opened at 11 a.m. at the opening of the feast.
The event will bring fun for the whole family with typical autumn refreshments and a great programme.
A plethora of winemakers will offer visitors a tasting of this year's young wines. Restaurants as well as the best contemporary food trucks will offer traditional St. Martin dishes and tasting menus headed by goose in many ways, as well as duck and killing specialties, and products from regional producers.
The feast starts at 10am and runs until late in the evening. During the day, musical groups and musicians will take to the stage. The organisers are also thinking of the little ones. There will be a children's programme, attractions and workshops related to St Martin's Day traditions.
Entrance to the St. Martin's Feast is free.
