Petr Kočařík is the archetype of a humble, honest and hard-working winemaker with a clear idea of what he does and why. Without chemistry and almost obsessively meticulous in the vineyards as well as in the cellar, with an emphasis on pure and precisely prepared classic serious wines, trained in barrels and with aging potential. Petr has made his biggest name with the Pinot Noir variety, in which he is one of the absolute Moravian leaders. We'll taste his Pinot in three forms from the same vintage, including one completely new one, and explore the differences in vintages and how the wines age in the bottle.
The winery and wines will be introduced by Jan Čeřovský aka South Slope, who has a great fondness for them. Wines tasted:
