Its goal is to provide wines with world-class professional evaluation while increasingmarketing visibility through medals, presentation of results and supporting promotional materials for the winning wines. The tasting is conducted by a panel of experienced experts - winemakers, sommeliers, educators or wine journalists - who judge the wines on their quality and style. The competition awards medals in Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze categories and the results are published immediately after the judging so that wineries can use them in their promotions.
