I like the delicate aromas of oranges, white pepper and summer meadows that pull you into the sleek and medium-bodied palate of this expressive Gruner Veltliner. Zesty acidity and a wealth of herbal character in the crisp finish. Fermented and matured in stainless steel. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
Pale gold. Really edgy nose. Lovely blend of freshness, pickle, body and richness. So long, and so relatable to a fine Grüner Veltliner from a good Austrian producer.
Long and satisfying.

Veltliner Moravia Vinohrádky 2022
This is a very serious Czech Gruner Veltliner with a wealth of quince and white pepper and a haunting touch of floral honey. Stunning interplay of restrained richness, fine tannins and supple acidity that keeps this gently moving over the medium- to full-bodied palate. Long and structured yet smooth finish. 24 hours of skin contact, then fermented and matured on the lees for nine months in Slovenian oak barrels.
Drinkable now, but best from 2026.

Throbbing, pungent nose. This is exciting wine that is only just unfurling. Fireworks on the palate! I'd wait until the second half of 2025 before broaching this. So pure! Such direct communication with the palate...

Pinot Blanc Moravia Vinohrádky 2022
This Czech dry Pinot Blanc has a wonderful citrus blossom charm, then the richness and structure on the medium-bodied palate come as a real surprise. Very long, dense, nutty finish, yet here too there’s a wonderful delicacy. Drink or hold.
James Suckling: 94/100
Hint of creamed corn on the layered nose. This is serious wine! And super-clean. Maybe not that long – not as long as the oak aged Riesling – but I'd be extremely happy to drink this as an aperitif. It has guts.
Jancis Robinson: 16,5/20
Riesling Moravia Vesnice Kurdějov 2022
Although this dry Czech Riesling is barely medium-bodied, it has a terrific spicy and herbal complexity and notes of bergamot and Amalfi lemons. Expands considerably as it aerates in the glass. Long, graceful finish with a wealth of herbal and licorice nuances. Fermented and matured on the lees in stainless steel. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
James Suckling: 94/100
Interesting to taste this immediately after an Adoria Riesling 2021 from Poland – grown not so far from this wine. Intensely flavoured, this pure, clean wine is clearly Riesling, with only a tiny amount of residual sugar. Just slightly denser than the Adoria, less refined. But very respectable.

Riesling Moravia Stará Hora 2022
The lone star of Czech dry Riesling shines as brightly as many of the great dry rieslings of Germany, France and Austria. Terrific lemon zest, stone fruit and honeysuckle complexity. Concentrated, but only at the upper limit of medium-bodied, the minerality beautifully interwoven into the wealth of delicate fruit aromas. Great length and purity in the finish. Drink or hold.
James Suckling: 96/100
Bright greenish gold. Smells less expressively Riesling than the regular bottling, with a hint of spearmint. More complex than the regular bottling and still unfurling. Very much a food wine – a 14% Riesling in quite unusual! But it's not too heavy.
Jancis Robinson: 16,5+/20
Veltliner Moravia Vesnice Kurdějov 2021
Plenty of green pepper and reine claude plum character, plus a touch of cassis here. The cassis is more prominent on the crisp, yet round medium-bodied palate. A shade on the tart side at the finish. Drink now. Screw cap.
James Suckling: 89/100
Pretty light nose. Not sure I would be able to tell the variety. Some ripe fruitquality and very clean. Just slightly chewy on the end but good persistenceand the grope seems happy here, even if this is not the showiest example.

Veltliner Moravia Vinohrádky 2021
Here’s an exciting Czech GrunerVeltliner with the kind of complexity we expect from this grape in its homeland on the Austrian Danube. Stacks of white pepper, dried flowers, aromatic apple and sliced pear on the nose. On the concentrated, yet only medium-bodied palate there’s a wealth of white pepper character and white currant fruit, then a super-clean and precise wet stone finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
James Suckling: 93/100
Light nose. Rather more intense than the village bottling but with a bit of oakshowing. Still a bit embryonic. Worth trying later?
Jancis Robinson: 16+/20
Pinot Blanc Moravia Vinohrádky 2021
A sophisticated dry Pinot Blanc with aromas of spring meadows, crisp pear and chamomile. At once succulent and vibrant this has so much positive energy, the finish bursting with cool climate crispness. It easily carries the tiny touch of unfermented grape sweetness on the mid-palate. Drink or hold.
James Suckling: 93/100
Broad, appealing, fruity Pinot Blanc nose with good, fresh acidity. Well balancedand easy to like with, arguably, a bit more structure and freshness than theaverage Alsace Pinot Blanc. Really quite racy and attractive.
Jancis Robinson: 16/20
Riesling Moravia Vesnice Kurdějov 2021
Finally a daring wine from the Czech Republic! This vibrantly youthful dry Riesling is brimming with fresh herbs, white tea and chamomile aromas. On the palate it has a bladerunner balance of racy acidity and stony power right through the steely and crystalline finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2024. Screw cap.
James Suckling: 93/100
Mild, very 'cool' aroma of youthful Riesling with no sugar evident – or rather, cancelled out by the very high, crisp acidity. Extremely refreshing and youthful. Not unlike lime juice and only very slightly phenolic on the end. I enjoyed thismore than the 2020. A cooler year perhaps?
Jancis Robinson: 16,5+/20
Riesling Moravia Stará Hora 2021
A Czech dry Riesling revelation! Stunning nose of lemon blossom, Amalfi lemon and chamomile. You can really taste the inspiration of the Wachau in Austria in this full-bodied, concentrated and impeccably balanced white, but this is not an imitation. Excellent precision at the extremely long finish that’s simultaneously silky and intensely mineral. Hard to predict how this will age, but it’s certainly been made for long aging. Drink or hold.
James Suckling: 94/100
Theresidual sugar makes its light presence felt here and this is a serious, textured, structured wine for drinking with food. Not unlike a serious Alsace Riesling.Really rather delicious and the phenolics are less obvious in this fuller-bodiedexample. Quite long. Exciting!
Jancis Robinson: 17/20
Riesling Moravia Vesnice Kurdějov Cibéby 2021
This late-harvest style Riesling has a dangerous energy and limey acidity that may be too much for some, but I find it very exciting. So incredibly focused, with a driving minerality that beautifully underlines the tense interplay between grape sweetness and dazzling acidity. Limited production. Drink or hold.
James Suckling: 97/100
Decidedly honeyed nose, and definitely sweet on the palate. This would stand up well to many German Auslese. Really fresh and crisp yet with a mouthful of ripe Riesling flavour that tastes as though someone had squeezed a bunch of grapes on to my tongue. Really lively and lovely stuff. How would one serve it? Perhaps just sip it with delight while watching White Lotus? It's impressively long! I'm not sure I'll bother to chill it before tonight's episode; so expressive and finely etched is it at room temperature.
